Challenge

A global life sciences manufacturer with a complex multi-tier supply chain, more than
50 production sites, and a fragmented ERP landscape sought to improve inventory performance and agility in an increasingly volatile market environment

Solution

By redesigning planning from siloed functions into an integrated end-to-end network planning model, the organization harmonized data across legacy systems, redefined planning processes from demand to supply. The implementation of Kinaxis maestro was supported by comprehensive change management by mse e2e. ??????

Result

The transformation significantly reduced end-to-end inventory, eliminated redundant planning activities, increased agility and stakeholder alignment, and established a scalable foundation for expanding supply chain digitalization from planning to end-to-end supply chain management.

We achieved significant reduction of e2e pipeline inventory by elimination “mis-trust-buffers” in lead times and safety stocks.

Milestones

One Trusted Planning Foundation

A unified data integration architecture consolidated more than 50 data sources into a single planning ecosystem. This established a trusted source of truth across the end-to-end supply chain and improved planning transparency and consistency.

The introduction of the S&OX® operating model shifted the organization from functional silos to integrated end-to-end decision-making. As a result, response times were reduced from 12 months to 1 month, dramatically improving business agility.

The transformation unlocked over USD 150 million in inventory reductions while improving decision speed, strengthening cross-functional alignment, and eliminating inefficient planning activities. The resulting APS platform provides a scalable foundation for continued supply chain digitalization.
